So my boyfriend treated me to a stay at The Crazy Bear Hotel in Beaconsfield.
If you haven’t heard of it before it is a hotel with black leather rooms, velvet walls, stuff animals (not real by the way) and general over the top stuff.
We had a suite for the evening, each room is different and you get to pick what room you have. We went for the room that I decided to name the mermaid room as it had blue velvet walls with black leather and a copper bath tub!
In the evening, we visited the bar for an Apéritif. I had a cocktail called Jamaican me crazy – rum and a fun name made for good combination.
The Crazy Bear has two restaurants, an English and a Thai, we decided to go to the English as I had heard better reviews.
For started I had squid, which was cooked in a chorizo and tomato sauce which was lovely.
For main we both went for steak. It’s our favourite meal so usually a staple choice. Boring I know, sorry! Either way it was really nice!
Pudding was a knicker blocker glory. There was lots of cream and strawberries which was quite sickly, but that could’ve been the mix of cocktails too. Oppsie.
My boyfriend treated me to this gorgeous dress from All Saints, which I teamed with my favourite shoes, my Christian Louboutins!
Also does anyone want to know a secret? I probably shouldn’t admit this out loud, but I thought my boyfriend was going to pop the question when we were there. Before anyone thinks I’m crazy, we’ve been together for (almost) 5 years, plus it’s not often we go to swanky hotels and I get treated to a new dress.
Ring or no ring we still had the most amazing time!
Tree top adventure at Go Ape
Naturally after a night in a swanky hotel, Sam and I decided we need to do a fun activity, so we decided it would be a great idea to visit Go Ape. We are both big kids at heart.
If you’ve never been, the Tree Top Adventure at Go Ape is super fun and it includes Zip Wires, Tarzan Swings and high rope courses. Definitely not a good activity for someone scared of heights.
We went to the one in Wendover Woods but there are loads throughout the UK.
